An extensive program of nucleon spin structure function measurements is underway in Hall B at Jefferson Lab. First data on the deuteron were obtained with polarized 2.5 GeV electrons incident upon a polarized ND3 target. Hall B's Large Acceptance Spectrometer is capable of measuring multi-particle final states, enabling us to use missing mass techniques to identify exclusive π^- production from the deuteron. This process is sensitive primarily to polarized neutrons in the target. This measurement will provide new information on the helicity structure of neutron resonance excitations and will be an important contribution to the GDH integral for the neutron in the resonance region. The double spin asymmetry for exclusive π^- production from polarized deuterons for Q^2 from 0.08 to 1.2 GeV^2 will be presented.
