Solutions are obtained via the Hilbert principle using a reference system with concomitant time where the velocity field is identified with some of the metric components. A general solution for the spherically symmetric motion of charged dust is obtained which is defined by three arbitrary functions. Synchronized solutions of the Einstein-de Sitter and Friedman type are considered. A subclass of axisymmetric motions of rotating charged and uncharged dust is obtained. A generalized solution is obtained for the spherically symmetrical motion of a photon gas with a nonconserved number of particles and for a photon gas with dust.
