The relations between the periods and the changes of LMC Cepheids are compared with the predicted values from stellar evolution theory. The crossing states on the instability strip and the metal abundance of the LMC Cepheids are discussed. It is found that younger stars should be richer in metal abundance. The origin of very-long-period Cepheids in the LMC is suggested.
