We study the evolution of the metallicity in galaxy clusters as a function of redshift, by analyzing Chandra observations of clusters from the ROSAT Brightest Cluster Sample (BCS). We measure the metallicity inside and outside the central 100kpc region of each cluster, to study the contribution of the brightest cluster galaxy (BCG). We also study the spatial distribution of metals as a function of morphology and of the central cooling time to look for the effect of mergers.
