We seek evidence of permanent changes in longitudinal fields associated with solar flares by tracking magnetic features. The YAFTA feature-tracking algorithm is applied to GONG++ one-minute-cadence magnetograms for several X-class flares to identify magnetic features and to track their interaction, displacement, and longitudinal flux changes before, during and after each flare occurred. We identify the characteristic flow patterns and flux changes of each flare with particular attention to converging and shearing motions near neutral lines and patterns of increasing and decreasing magnetic flux.
