The effect of viscosity on the isotropization of the universe is studied by examining the asymptotic behavior of Szekeres cosmological models of class II with dissipative fluids. It is verified that in some cases the solutions tend to homogeneity and isotropy when time goes to infinity. The condition gamma = 0 is necessary for isotropization effects to emerge.
