We present results on the evolution of different galaxy populations at z < 1, as determined from the CNOC2 Field Galaxy Redshift Survey and its associated optical and near-IR photometric samples. We will describe estimates of the luminosity functions, star formation rates, and stellar mass functions for CNOC2 galaxies, present our constraints on the redshift evolution of these statistical measures of the galaxy population, and test our observations against predictions of various spectrophotometric galaxy evolution models.
