Cosmological nucleosynthesis is investigated for a universe with massive unstable leptons. It is shown that the entire apparent mass of deuterium cannot be synthesized other than during cosmological nucleosynthesis, and that the density of the rest energy of the heavy leptons accelerates the expansion of the universe. This acceleration increases the deuterium yield, but does not change the He-3 yield. The increase of the He-4 abundance through the shift of the instant of neutron quenching and the increase in entropy as the heavy leptons decay reaches 0.04-0.05, and this decreases the baryon density to 0.03-0.06.
