The paper derives a covariant expression for the posthydrodynamic approximation to the stress-energy tensor of a continuous ultrarelativistic medium. Exact solutions for the Einstein equations with such a tensor are obtained for isotropic Friedman models and for a Bianchi type I anisotropic model. It is shown that the solutions are asymptotically isotropic and Friedman far from the cosmological singularity. Close to the singularity, however, the universe will evolve very differently from the standard Friedman and Kasner models: the singularity becomes isotropic, the temperature of the medium remains finite there, and the space-time metric evolves according to different laws.
