Black Holes: Accretion Disks
Scientific paper
The evolution characteristics of central black holes of thin and thick disks are investigated in prograde and retrograde accretions, respectively. It is shown that these evolution charcteristics in retrograde accretion are very different from those in the prograde case. The temperature of black holes decreases monotonously in prograde case, while it has a maximum in retrograde case. The entropy of black holes always increases in the whole accretion process, and the rates of change of the entropy in retrograde case are much larger than those in the prograde case. In addition, the correlation between mass variation and spins of black holes is discussed.
