The evolution and nucleosynthesis of a 20Msun_ star with solar composition is followed up to neon exhaustion with a detailed nuclear network. Isotopic yields of species up to ^27^Al, produced mainly in the hydrostatically burning H, He, C and Ne zones, are obtained. A critical comparison to the corresponding results of two recent works, allows to evaluate the impact of the various uncertainties (treatment of convection, nuclear reaction rates) on those yields. We find, in particular, that the size of the carbon shell, much larger with the Schwarzschild than with the Ledoux criterion of convection, affects considerably the yields of the carbon burning products.
