Lunar occultations of the giant stars RX Cnc (spectral type M8), IRC 20082 (M9), and SAO 76523 (M2) have been observed for the first time at the Italian IR telescope TIRGO at 2.2 microns. In the case of RX Cnc, two occultations were observed, showing that a 35-percent variation of the angular diameter of the star occurred over a period of 82 days. In the case of IRC 20082, a circumstellar envelope has been detected in the occultation light curve, and the data are best explained by assuming that the envelope is a flattened optically thick disk viewed almost edge-on. Evidence of circumstellar envelopes is found also for the other two sources from their photometric data.
