Shocked quartz grains with anomalous high density formed by artificial
impact craters are investigated. The circumstances of the earth's
catastrophe due to meteoritic impacts at the Cretaceous-Tertiary (K/T)
boundary and various terrestrial impact craters are clarified. Formation
processes of anomalous shocked quarts are addressed.
