Metamorphism of eucrites was accompanied by pervasive metasomatism by a
dry Fe-rich vapor. Metasomatic Fe-enriched zones have formed along
internal fractures in pyroxenes. Vapor may be an ubiquitous
metasomatizing agent in the upper crust of Vesta.
