Infrared and millimeter-wave emission from Herbig Ae/Be stars sometimes yield conflicting interpretations of the dust geometry in these objects. We show that a disk embedded in an extended envelope can explain the observed spectral energy distribution. The disk, heated by the envelope and star, dominates the mm-wave emission, while in IR region only the envelope is visible. Detailed radiative transfer calculations based on the model of geometrically thin and optically thick disk surrounded by a spherical envelope successfully fit the data from UV to mm-wavelengths.
