The X-ray binary system 4U 1907+09 consists of an accretion powered X-ray pulsar and a massive early-type companion star. The system has an eccentric orbit (e=0.28+-0.03) with orbital period of 8.38 days. The neutron star spin period is 437.5 s. The companion has recently been determined to be a O8/O9 supergiant rather than a Be star by observation of interstellar NaI and KI lines which give a minimum distance of 5 kpc. A primary flares at pre-periastron and a secondary flare at apastron make this system's orbital X-ray light curve similar to that of the X-ray binary GX 301-2. Here we present analysis of the RXTE/ASM light curve of 4U 1907+09 and show that a wind plus stream model reproduces well the observed light curve. We also give new values for wind velocity and mass-loss rate as well as the stream properties for 4U 1907+09.
