An analysis of five-color photometric observations of Sk 160 (SMC X-1)
gives evidence for the existence of an accretion disk around the neutron
star in this system. This supports the suggestion by Hutchings et al.
(1977) that the mass transfer in SMC X-1 occurs through Rochelobe
overflow.
