We present Washington photometry of the relatively metal-rich globular cluster NGC 6388. We corrected the colors of the individual stars for variable amounts of interstellar extinction using IRAS-derived E(B-V) maps (NASA/IPAC Infrared Science Archive). The interstellar reddening has been one of the major concerns in previous work when trying to make a definitive statement about any age or chemical composition variations. We have found that NGC 6388 has a red giant branch that is too broad for its chemical composition to be uniform, but that the variations seem to be within the range, [Fe/H]=-0.5 to -0.8.
