X-ray fluorescence analysis of Rb and Sr in five rock standards, using
computed mass absorption corrections, agrees satisfactorily with mass
spectrometer results. Comparable agreement is found by averaging Rb and
Sr values obtained with matrix corrections based on the reciprocals of
Compton scatter and background intensity.
