A method for determining the topocentric equatorial coordinates of a satellite using a CCD star sensor is proposed. The method is used to determine the admissible rms errors of the measurement of the rectangular coordinates of reference stars and the satellite in the plane of the CCD array. These calculated errors are used in evaluating the parameters of the optical system of a CCD star sensor.
