The relative abundance of europium in the undisturbed solar photosphere has been determined on the basis of five Eu II line profiles in the spectral region of 600-740 nm. The Eu II line profiles were derived using an equivalent width technique (four lines), the synthetic spectrum method (one line at a wavelength of 617.304 nm). An Eu abundance of 0.71 + or - 0.08 in the scale log H = 12.00 is given. The results of previous studies of Eu abundance in the solar atmosphere are presented.
