IUE observations of the UV spectrum of Eta Car are discussed. The UV
spectrum is shown to be dominated by P Cygni profiles of lines due to Fe
II and other ions. Several spectral features are identified with
emission components, absorption components, or both. The terminal
velocity of the stellar wind is estimated to be about -715 km/s.
