Recently, Vitel et al. (1988) demonstrated that in the case of noble gases one can find a normalization factor for analogous transitions which enables interpolation along the homologous sequence. In this paper, it is demonstrated that such normalization is possible in the case of homologous ion lines. A simple method suitable for critical evaluation of existing data and interpolation of new Stark widths along homologous sequences is presented.
