The paper describes the European System for Particle and Astrophysical Cyber Education (ESPACE). After a general introduction to the project and its ideas the contents of the multimedia teaching and learning system are presented. It is followed by a discussion about the didactical aspects of modern multimedia technology related to the project. Finally the multimedia and programming structures are explained and future perspectives are given.
