The current situation of the Astronomy programme of the European Space Agency is presented. Some recent highlights from missions in orbit are shown as well as the status of missions under development. Further, the long term plan of ESA science programme is described including the situation of the ongoing call for new missions under the planning called Cosmic Vision 2015-2025.
