Algorithms are presented which have been used to write a standard computer program for calculating the rms error of star coordinate plotters resulting from inertial forces under conditions of the steady motion of a flight vehicle. It is shown that the rms error of a star coordinate plotter used for determining the angular coordinates of a moving object is significantly less than the error typical of navigation instruments with pendulum or accelerometer control.
