The following text was erroneously printed in the fourth paragraph of Sect. 4.1.2. It should be the last paragraph of Sect. 4.2.1. Reducing the metal abundance helped to fit [O III] λ4363, but revealed the same general trends that hamper an overall fit. In particular, (Ne V] λ3426 could not be strengthened in this way. This line requires an increase of U. Based on these results we consider it unlikely that a successful multi-component model can he built by only varying the column density. Erratum to Astron. Astrophys. 278, 29-35 (1993)
