The paper "The 1989 Outburst of the Recurrent Nova V745-SCORPII" was published in Mon. Not. R. astr. Soc. (1990) 246, 78-83.
The ninth line of the Introduction has been misprinted. The correct version of the Introduction is reproduced below.
INTRODUCTION: The first recorded outburst of V745 Sco (α = 17h52m04s.72, δ = -33° 14' 31".8; equinox 1950.0, McNaught 1989) was reported by Plaut (1958) who found the nova at mpυ ˜11.2 on 1937 May 10. It was classified as a nova on the basis of its outburst amplitude and light curve although no spectroscopic observations were reported (Duerbeck 1984, 1987). The second observed outburst was discovered by Liller (1989) on 1989 July 30.08 UT at a ˜9.7 mag. It was at a similar brightness on July 31.02 UT but had been fainter than magnitude 12 on July 29.549 UT (Honda 1989). In the following we will therefore assume that the nova reached maximum light on July 30.0 UT. The 1989 outburst places V745 Sco in the small class of recurrent novae, bringing their numbers up to seven. This paper presents the results of photometric and spectroscopic observations covering the most recent outburst.
