In the paper ``Soft X-Ray Scattering and Halos from Dust'' by Randall K. Smith and Eli Dwek (ApJ, 503, 831 [1998]), there was an error in the calculation of Figure 7, which shows a comparison of the observed halo with different model calculations. Because of a problem in the numerical integration routine used for the double integration, we underestimated the scattering in the models. The corrected figure, done using a new algorithm, is shown here. This error did not affect any of the other calculations or figures. The new results have approximately twice the scattering cross section at all angles. As a result, the MRN and composite dust models using the Rayleigh-Gans approximation produce a scattering halo substantially brighter than the observed one, whereas the same models using the Mie solution move closer to the observations. The composite dust model now fits the data marginally better than the MRN model, although we stand by our conclusion that the data do not support any distinction between the two. In general, this correction strengthens the main conclusion of the paper that the Mie solution must be used to model X-ray scattering below 2 keV.
