In a small college environment where money, time, astronomers and technical support personnel are in short supply, the choice of observatory instrumentation is further constrained by the needs of research topics accessible to undergraduates and by the observatory's local environment. This talk will begin by reviewing the equipment first selected for Connecticut College Olin Observatory to co-exist with these criteria, and how well it met our needs for astronomical undergraduate research and training. The equipment that is now being considered/installed for the next generation of work at this facility will then be discussed.
