The evolution of primordial structure in the early Universe is discussed with emphasis on the specific properties of entropy perturbations in the hot cosmic medium. This study is stimulated by Parijskij's recent report on observational constraints for possible temperature fluctuations in the microwave background radiation. The implications of these data are explored, and it is shown that these data together with gasdynamic considerations lead one to favor entropy perturbations as preferred elements of the primordial cosmic structure.
