At the Community Coordinated Modeling Center we are developing the infrastructure to perform ensemble modeling of the background solar wind conditions at the L1 point using two models: 1) Wang-Sheeley-Arge solar corona + ENLIL inner heliosphere model combination, and 2) Space Weather Modeling Center solar corona and inner heliosphere model. As a solar input for both models we used the GONG observatory magnetograms for Carrington Rotations 2047-2074. We compared the models’ output for the solar wind parameters, such as speed, density, temperature and magnetic field magnitude at L1 point, with ACE observations. We also performed the "ensemble" modeling, by taking the average of the two models' output for each of the solar wind parameter.
