The new measurements reported take into account gamma rays in the energy range from 0.1 to 4 MeV. A balloon-borne telescope was used in the investigation. The new data are compared with earlier results. The energy spectrum of soft gamma rays is presented in a graph. The approach used in the determination of gamma ray intensity is discussed along with correction methods employed to eliminate the effects of the electrons.
