One calorimeter employed at the Aragats mountain station (3220 m above sea level) was composed of 16 rows of ionization chambers of rectangular cross section with 7.5-cm-thick iron between the chambers. The total absorber thickness was 1040 g/sq cm. The other calorimeter was composed of 10 rows of ionization chambers of circular cross section separated by 10-cm-thick iron layers with a total absorber thickness of 840 g/sq cm. The energy spectra of the leading secondaries are analyzed on the basis of data on the interaction of cosmic hadrons with the iron nuclei.
