The release of the neutrino energy and thermal energy of degenerate
equilibrium superstars is estimated in the quantum limit of a
superstrong magnetic field. This energy release may occur at matter
densities exceeding that necessary for the onset of neutronization and
at magnetic field strengths exceeding 10 to the 15th G.
