In the Pamir experiment, X-ray scintillation counters stationed 4350 m above sea level are used to detect gamma rays generated in nuclear and electron-photon cascades in the atmosphere; the purpose of the experiment is to examine ultrahigh-energy strong interactions in cosmic ray showers. This paper examines the energy characteristics of gamma quanta investigated in the Pamir experiment. Measured absolute intensities of gamma-quanta families are compared with calculated values.
