Let $p$ be a prime, and $q$ a power of $p$. Using Galois theory, we show that
over a field $K$ of characteristic zero, the endomorphism algebras of the
jacobians of certain superelliptic curves $y^q=f(x)$ are products of cyclotomic
fields.
