Meteor Showers: Models, Meteor Showers: Comets

The Encke meteoroid stream is modelled. It is shown that the time needed for the formation of meteor showers, namely the Northern and Southern Taurids, β-Taurids and ζ-Perseids is about 4700 yr, for the χ-Orionid and Piscid meteor showers having northern and southern branches and twin showers - from 8000 to 18000 yr. The comparison of the theoretical and observed orbital elements and radiants are in satisfactory agreement. The activity of the northern and southern branches and twin showers of the Encke meteoroid complex results from the increase in the dispersion of meteoroid orbital elements and the selectivity of observations.
