We report new data for a sample of 89 F-K stars, mostly metal-poor objects, extending the existing data basis to lower metallicities, found in galactic globular clusters. New fits, used in the present investigation, of the metallicity indices as a function of stellar parameters are also given. Moreover, we present new calibrations for the metallicity indices Mg2,
