For galaxy models in the form of elliptical disks, expressions are obtained which relate the distribution moments of the ratio of the true small axis of the disk to its large axis (characterizing the elongation of the disk) and visible quantities (visible sphericities and squares of the visible large diameters). A method is proposed for determining the mean elongation of the disks of late-type spiral galaxies from Karachentsev's catalog of binary galaxies with allowance for selection effects.
