Interiors of particles collected from fresh volcanic deposits have been
analyzed with a microprobe to allow comparison of them with dust of a
possibly extraterrestrial origin. We find support for the argument that
the majority of the possibly extraterrestrial particles collected in old
Greenland ice deposits are not volcanic in origin.
