The ELXS concept is a novel, portable, micro-instrument targeted for the
detection of mineralogic signatures of past water and extinct life on
the surface of planetary bodies such as Mars. It is designed to perform
rapid, in-situ spectroscopy consuming extremely low energy per
measurement.
