The generation of intense relativistic electron beams from coaxial diodes immersed in a longitudinal magnetic field is a problem that has been studied extensively since the early 1970s. Such beams are important for the generation of high power microwaves. In most cases it is assumed that the propagation of such annular beams is determined by the longitudinal space-charge-limiting current. A result attributed to Fedosov (A.I. Fedosov, E.A. Litvinov, S.Ya. Belomytsev, and S.P. Bugaev, Izvestiya Vysshikh Uchebnykh Zavedenii, Fizika, No. 10, pp. 134-135, 1977) but receiving little attention in the West describes how the propagating beam current in this geometry is determined by the diode accelerating gap. In this presentation we place Fedosov's result in the context of other current limits in this geometry. Furthermore, we present an alternate calculation that leads to the same result as Fedosov's current.
