The existence of an electron acoustic double layer (DL) in the presence of a magnetic field in a plasma carrying an electron beam propagating along the direction of the magnetic field has been studied. It has been found that when the electron beam velocity is of the order of M/k(2), where M is the velocity of the propagation of the DL and k(2) is the cosine of the angle between the propagation vector and the direction of the magnetic field, A DL solution exists in the above-mentioned plasma. The result obtained may be applicable to a space plasma or laboratory plasma where the ion temperature is much greater than the electron temperature.
