The paper presents an investigation of electromagnetic-field transformation in the lower ionosphere as a result of variations of the conductivity of this region and the formation of ionized zones at lower altitudes. An analysis is made of the parameters and spatial-temporal structure of steady-state fields, harmonically dependent on time and electromagnetic pulses.
