Scientific paper

The paper examines the relationship of Hall and Pederson conductivities in the auroral ionosphere on the basis of electron density profiles obtained from ground-based and rocket sounding. The empirical dependence of the integral conductivities on the E region critical frequency and on magnetic disturbances is established. A model is proposed for the periodic variations and spatial distribution of electroconductivity.
