The Einstein-Maxwell formulation of gravitation and electromagnetism is
developed in U4 spacetime by using a Lagrangian which
produces propagating torsion. The resulting equations turn out to be
identical to the Einstein-Maxwell formulation except that here the
torsion vector represents the electromagnetic potential.
