This paper gives homogeneous results of eight campaigns on Beta Persei
performed during the winters of 1975/76 to 1982/83. They are related to
the FK4 and the astronomical constants in use up to 1984. A preliminary
comparison with the radio position given by the Very Large Array
(1982.84) in the same system is included.
