Pulsars: Period Changes

This paper proposes a problem of observational effect of the terrestrial solid tide on P and P˙ of pulsars. It is shown that the effect is not negligible for some pulsars. Attentions must be paid to the effects of solid tides on pulsar's P and P˙ in the determination of intrinsic period and period changes with the continuous improvement of observational precision and to the studies of solid tides in terms of pulsar's observational data.
