Near-nuclear spectra for eighteen Virgo Cluster galaxies obtained using the Kitt Peak 4 meter telescope from January 31, 2006 to February 5, 2006 are presented. These spectra, along with Sloan Digital Sky Survey spectra, which have been binned by internal velocity dispersion into six stacked spectra, are used to investigate possible correlations between velocity dispersion and individual elemental abundance using lick style indices.
Conclusions: Almost all indices show a dependence on velocity dispersion. Analysis suggests that this is almost all due to abundance variation among the various galaxies.
